Bon, the whole, of. tho.'.livb and dead 'stock, etc., on their property, "Nikau grange, adjoining Ashhurst. '- In spite of the'■ bad weather there was a very large attendance, - and' buyers . remained right up till: the end-of'the-Bale^.The dairy cows, some 50 in number, were offered'first, and for these the demand "was '.exceptionally good. The young cattle also.met with,a.ready sale at prices slightly in excess of those, ruling: outside.. The pigs 'were a well-bred'lot;, and for'.these' competition was very brisk':V'-'Some , well-bred marcs were offered'towards'tho.end.df the sale, but for these prices were hardly up to expectations.
