TARANAKI STREET METHODIST CHURCH.
. Amongst the many activities -of the Taranaki Street Methodist Church,, the caro of the youth and young people takes a prominent ■place. In addition to tho Biblo Classes for both .sexes, each class numbering upwards of 60 members, there is a finely-equipped Sunday School and staff of teachers, also a kindergarten section, which is up-tordate in. every particular, and carried on, on the best principle. From each of these sections' anuually a number, are . received into. the membership of the. Church. Most of these this year will for the first time partake of■the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper on Sunday ! evening next, after the usual service: Desire has been ex-, pressed by some members of the congregation that the evening service should begin at 7 p.m. instead of,i as at present, 6.30 p.m: This matter was brought to finality last Sunday evening, when the Rev. S. J.. Serpell submitted the question to the congregation, and, by, a 6how of hands, it was decided, by a large majority, to adhere to the old time of 6.30 p.m.
