Uro (whose recent expression 6i doubt as to whether the Unionists eentume to jay old age ptnsjons had been rrrmed by Mr. Bftlfour a "frigid and calculated lie"). Mr. Uro made an impassioned reply, to Mr. Balfour's strictures, and claimed that he had simply expressed doubt as to tho adequacy of a tariff system in the mattci of providing old ago pensions. Mr. Balfour, amid storny interruptions, maintained his ground.
