LETTERPRESS PRINTERS' UNION.
« The Letterpress Printers' Union held a very enjoyable smoko social in. the Foresters' Hall on Saturday night. The president of the anion, Mr. W. Simpson, occupied the chair. A long list of toasts and pongs iris gono through. Responding to the toast of "The Union," Mr. Campbell said that for a comparatively young union ho considered that they lad made greater strides than any other union for tho betterment of. its members. Mr. Joslin, iri response to the toast of "Kindrod Societies," said that the day was not far distant when the whole of the allied printing trados of the colony would bo banded togother in ono solid federation. ' Songs woro given by Messrs. Kerr, Houchen, M'Caull, Guiislcr, Dnrnott, Potts, Johns, and Claridgo, and recitations by Messrs. Simpson and'Joslin.
