At a moeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council, held to-night, the balance-sheet,showed a debit of .£6B 18s. Id.. The proposed now rules were adopted with small alterations. Begarding the Plunket Shield rules, notice of motion was given that no coach, or person imported at tho cxpenso of.an association or club, should bo eligiblo to play in any shield match until ho had resided in tho Dominion for two years continuously. A rulo was adopted lchoroby GO per cent, of the profits of a challenge match should be retained by the local association, 30 per cent, should be paid to the challenging ossociation, and 10 per cent, to tho New Zealand Council, the foregoing arrangement not to'apply to ordinary inter-provincial matches when treated as shield matches. . PiUNKET SHIELD MATCHES. Christchurch, October 21. Tho Canterbury Cricket Association to-night decided to play Wellington at New Year time, the match to bo considered a Plunket Shield match,, provided Wellington then! held the shield.
