. /* SUPPLY OF POWER , The fact that tho graving dock is within something like lncasnrablo distance of startiug on its career of usefulness was brought under nohco at last night's meeting of tho City Council, when thO; Power Stations and Tramways Committee recommended that the Harbour Board b<> granted a power supply for tho pumping plant at tho dock on the following conditions —(1) /That current bo supplied to the board'« mams at the power house, ordinary power supplj rotes, being charged, Tho mains to bo supplied and run from the pumping sib* to an approved point of entry at tho power house at tho boards qxpense, tho work inside the building to be dbno by tho corporation, ami at their expenee. (2) Every reasonable effort to be made by tho department to supply tho potter required at all 1 times, but no liability to be incurred by tho council in any cose of failure to supply. jt The recommendations wcro agreed to.
