Thd dairy,section of tho Pure Food Congress now sitting at Paris, after a discussion, decided that butter-.may contain 18 per cent, of water instead of 16 per Cent, as decided at the Geneva Congress. Boron was recognised as a permissible preservative. Other sections recommend that/when jfcms ate not exclusively sugar and fruit, tho fact must be indicated On tho label, as "also must the addition of ohicory to coffee, It was decided that to ; transport 'mineral waters. in wooden barrels should . not be allowed. ■ [The .10 per cent; limit of moisture In butter has been adopted.in the English Act.] .
