Newell Arbor, of Cambridge, writing to "The Times," expresses the hope that the section of fossil pinetroe retained by -Professoi David will provo a more certain specimen oi fossil flora than those brought home by the members of tho Discovery expedition. Ha adds that Professor Nafhorst, of Stockholm, is publishing a paper dealing with the lower oolitx floras discorered by the Swedish Antdfctic or pedition. These bear an extraordinary resertblncco to the lower Oolite flora' of. the Yorkshire . const. . [Oolite is a granular limostone, which give; tho name to an important series of fossiliforoui rocks divided into upper, middle, and lowci oolite.]
