Inglis, J.P. ■ for entering licensed premises during' the currency of a prohibition order, Jas. Ashby was convicted and discharged. Chas. Nelson (Mr. Wilson), charged with procuring liquor for a prohibited person, was also convicted and ■ discharged. . : . For allowing cattle to wander, John M'ltillan, Frank Jloreland (Mr. Wilson), and Harry Hounslow were each fined ss. and 9s. costs. Mr, Kirk.appeared 'fpr the Petonc Council. » sturdy, middle-aged man, named Alfred MiUward, was prosecuted by Walter Alfred JJowater on throe using obscene language in a public place; (2) assaulting Lydia Bowater; and (3)' assaulting Walter bowater. In connection with the last two charges,- informant-asked that defendant be bound over to keep the peace.- Mr. Cracroft Wilson appeared for complainant, and j>. W. Jackson for defendant. After tho evidence for complainant had'been heard,- the case was adjourned to October 25. Two small boys, who had come to blows, were called, and each charged the , other with assault. " His Worship decided that the case involved only a child s quarrel and dismissed the information.
