" A special.meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association was held in the Chamber of Commerce Hall last evening, Professor Hunter presiding.. ■.:■'■ -, ■'.'.■ : The rules recently drawn up wore reviewed and subjected to numerous amendments. A rule was ■ added providing that a player must be resident in Wellington for a clear seven days before he can take part:in championship matches.. Therulo is not to apply, to players in continuous employment, who may have boon; transferred to Wellington from some other' centre. '■ Exception is thus made for,_ soy, a bank, clerk being- transferred' from Chnstohurchi on a Saturday ori which a local matoh concludes; if "he were-.not granted. exemption, ho .would not bo able to take-part in the matches for threo weeks.' ■. : . In the event of a being: suspended by his club, or being guilty of unseemly conduct, or wilful infringement of-the. rules, the Management Committee arc. given power to inflict such penalties as they deem- necessary. The Management Committee is given power to arrange, oontrol, and manage r.U association matches, and appoint subsidiary committees; No ouorum was present when the delegates from ■ Wellington South endeavoured 'to. move the following:—"The boundary of the Wellington South District be extended to include that portion of tho city; of Wellington bounded on tho north by Hospital Road and Gullv to tho Town Belt, thence on tho east by" the Town Belt to Mein i Street, on the west by a Pmall. portion. of Adelaide Eoad and the whole of Revans Street, and on tho south by the whole of Mein Street, at present included in the' Wellington' East : District.,:
