The yarding of store sheep was larger than of late, and was madoup principally ox hoggets, most of which were medium and inferior sorts, and nearly all. wethers. There was good demand for all classes, .and priccs showed au advance of 9d. to Is. per head. • All the lots changed hands, with the' oxception of a lino of 450 half bred wether hoggets, which wcro passed,at 10s. 7d. There were only two pens of ewe'hoggets, one of, which were halfbrcds that had been shorn as lambs. Crossbred hoggets of mixed sexes and. Rood quality mado 14s. 9d. to. 15s. Id.; halfbred ewo hoggets (small and sh6rii), 13s. 3d.; wether hoggets, lis. to lis. 9d.*, fair .crossbred owe hoggets, 14s. 3d.; cull halfbred wether hoggets, Bs. fid.; forward wethers mado 16a. 2d.; aged crossbred cww. with lambs, Bs. 4d., all countcd; ana aged merino ewes in lamb, Bs.. <d. • There.were 239 fat lambs ponned, and they sold well, the average prices, being >14s. to. 15s. 6d.j\ bcst lambs, 14s. 6d. to 17s. 3d.; and'lighter, lis. -Id. to 14s. ...

The market opened, at an advancc, but as it was found.that there wub sufficient for. butchers' requiremeats 'prices fell baok to .last .week's level.- .A. few'heavy-weight shorn sheep .were sent in, these belrig-tho first this-season.
