Can you tell mo .whether'or not this mail is coming to Now Zealand by the Challenger, This is a real object. lesson of what could bo done always if arrangements were made with tho Union Company io mako i tho necessary oomtotion at Suva with their New Zealand steamers, and hope Sir Joseph-Ward and members of Parliament generally will take the lesson to heart, and endeavour doling the com. ing session of- Parliament to arrange this desirable connection, and so avoid sending the mails to Australia, which means, of course, a long delay in tho delivery of our i mail," The postal authorities received cable advice last evening that. 33 bagsof. mails .-for Jfew Zealand had been transhipped from tho Ma. knra to H.M.S., Challenger at Suva. Tho warship is duo at Auckland to-day.
