MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
« The Missions to Seamen' Institute was crowded ■ last night, when Miss • Handle provided a most enjoyable concert. Mr. James Moore, tho missioner, occupied the chair. The following contributed items to the programme: —Misses Tansley, Firness,' Hilda Conlin, Harton;' Messrs. F. V. Waters, Archer,, Illingsworth,. C. Morris, and Grix. Miss Muriel Pringle and .-'Miss Grix acted as accompanists. Soveral popular choruses were sung oy the audience: A conundrum competition was won by sailors from ships in port. During a short interval the missioner delivered an earnest temperance : address on the words, "Spread Nets and tho K-esnlts." Six men subsequently took the pledge of total'abstinence.-. Tho performers were accordcd a hearty voto of thanks Miss Handle briefly responding. Light refreshments were dispensed at the conclusion of tho concert.
