BOY SCOUTS.

: Several groups of Hoy Scouts took, advantage of' last; week's holidays, and: spent 'part of their time out camping. The Y.M.C.A. and Brooklyn troops camped at Happy. Valley, and were visited on several occasions by the-Otter patrol. The Miramar boys camped on the Miramar plain. . Most of the. time "was spent in tracking and scouting games, while signalling and cooking formed important : items on the programme.' Each group was in charge of a senior scoutmaster, who suporvised'all' operations. Tho. boys'pitched their own teuts, and soon . had tile .floors covered - . with tea-tree scrub, which made a dry and comfortable bed. Although part of the time was-wet, the boys returned in tho - best of health. Dr. Magijl, commander of tlio North'lsland scouts, will 6pcak to all boy scouts at tho Y.M.C.A. rooms, on Wednesday next, at" 7.30 p.m., tho .'subject being; "How a Boy, Scout' may keep: strong and healthy.".'
