There were more people present' at "Jack and Jill" last evening than there wire'scats in tho Opera House, proving that the pantomimo has achieved a popularity in Wellington exceeding that of any previous production of the kind, the little ones and theirparents are reminded that' another matineo will bo given this afternoon, and the usual performanco will be given this evening. The last nights aro announced, tlio company being under orders to proceed direct to Sydney on Fri> day next. The flnali matinee of the season will bo given on Wednesday afternoon next. .
THEATRE ROYAL, ' 1 Bleriot'a aorial flight across the' English Channel is tho subject of . the star picturo now being shown nightly nt tho Theatro Royal under tho enterprising Puller management. This itlm, which shows . the intrepid Frenchman in full flight, is a remarkable illustration of tho advancement of kinematography, and 'that it is already being shown in Wellington roflcots oiedit-on the management of tho Theatre Royal. Other good pictures in this week's programme aro "l'he Sailors' March through: London," "Tho Empire Press Conference," "Tho Richmond Horse Show," and "Tho Gamblor." . SUNDAY CONCERT. ! The Wellington Professional Orchestra lyill five the second, concert of the series on Sunday night at the Town Hall. Tho prolamines Ttill' includo:—Snppe's ."Light Cavalry overture, a paraphrase by Langoy on the "Adeato Fidelis, an entr'acte by Latann for strings, an intermezzo "Porget 1 Mo Not" by Jl'Beth. and other pleasing numbers. The'concert will commence at 8.30, and the collection will bo in aid of tho music library of tho orchostra. It has been suggested by a number of patrons of the orchestra's Sunday concerts that a request programme should bo given, and to this end tho committee will bo pleased to'consider any items previouUy played that'the audience may intimate. On Sunday evening when patrons are leaving tho hall the. names of the pieces selected may bo written, upon tho pro-, grammes and left on the tables in tho vestibule. .
HIS' MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
