The second accident occurred at a sttiall unbridged creek near, the Waihuka homestead. Dudley At'Kenzio, undertook to driv.o p. cart across, the ford when his; driver expressed, the : opinion that it was unsafe to do so. Tho vehicle capsized, and, he was swept into ..the. river, forty yards away. The unfortunate man was weighted with air oilskin and gumbbots, and had a poor chance to escapoy as tho stream was running with great, velocity.'...'. M'Kenzio , was... aged . .25. Dunadin, September 7. , Tho Qucenstown- correspondent of tho "Daily Times" states that a .North Island resident, named Michael Ryan, who has been in the Lakes ; District for- tho last four months, fell olf a plpo line at Arthur's Point ou Sunday,, iyi_d,went over a precipice, being killed. Ho was looking over, tho property at tho, time of tho accident.
