RETURN OF MR. J. A. BOREHAM. Mr. J. A' Borelmm, of Duncdm, draughts champion of Now Zealand, arrived in Wellington from Brisbane, via Auckland and tho Main Trunk lino on Tuesday, bringing back with him tho Australian draughts championship, won in compotition with tvvclvo representatives of tho Commonwealth States Last evening ho was entertained at tho licloiiO Working Men's Club by Mr D. Wadsworth, president of the local Draughts Association. As tho outcome of tho Busbano meeting—which was a iccord one for Australia—an Australasian Draughts Association was formed, with headquarters in Dunedm, Mr R Coldow, of that city, being elected as tho first president of the association, while Messrs F Hilhker, and F Butteriield, also of Duncdin, wero elected as joint secretaries and treasurers 'lho next Australasian Championship meeting will bo held in New Zealand, probably ill Duncdin
