Mr. Foster, a supporter "of t'he y DcakinCoolc Ministry, has been elected to fill the vacancy in tho House of Representatives caused by the death of the late Speaker, Sir Frederick Holder. Mr. Foster defeated Mr. Vaughan, Labour candidate, by 1332 votes.
