The chairman added that the committee had appointed five different valuers to value the land, and had .adopted the lowest.valuation; ITie chairman's report was adopted, and the' matter passed without farther: comment. ' Another claim; Langdon v. the Harbour Board, in which ; £500 was sought . for ■ land taken;; at Evan's Bay, was settled out of Court ycsterd&jr. Mr. for the claimant, and Mr. ..Weston, for the respondents, were oouhsel; in- the case, and .'the settlement ( was announced by Mr. Buttle at the Compensation Court yesterday afternoon.
