The Premier, Mr. Kidston, who had been promised by the Lieutenant-Governor' a dissolution provided that- the House granted supply, moved the motion of which he had given notice ' yesterday, to suspend tho Standing Orders to enable tlio passage of the Appropriation Bill through all . its stages in one day. • The Opposition (Labour) opposed the motion, which was carried by one vote, tlie division list being tie same as on the adjournment yesterday—Government 36, Opposition 35. . •.
