At a meeting of the Citizens' Unem* ployed Relief Committee to-day it was reported, that, of 23 men who went to Pohui last week in connection with tho scrubcutting work, 13 had returned to town for various reasons. Pour of them were unsuitable. It was resolved that tl* namei of,those who refused the work bo crossed off the committee's rogister. The men's ex-, planation is. that tlioy! found the conditions of employment to bo different from what tly>y had boon told they would be.
