The■ same. we«k a. fifteen-year-old riiirscgirl in Chicago istole soroo ■_ costly clothes froni her mistross,; run :" away from home, and ' set: out to: seek, "the knight of her heart in armour," as she explained she had aeen a girl do in a moving-picture show.. -."Silly ■ girl," we say. ■■■ True. But it so happens that.there are thousands of.suoh; not .silly girls- nor boys, but imprpssionablo children • ■■ in . our homes who are allowed • by their parents to go to these .fivo and tcn.ccnt. moving-picture shows and; who accept what they see there as chapters from real life, bocauso the actors in them'aro made, real . and havo a being.. Parents do not seem to realise the vicious influence fof the pictures shown in the average "moving-picture show,' , but it is high tim'e that they did not .permit their children, to attend these '• shows. ... .■■:•'
