Baldwin, H. Find, lay, J. T. Hawthorne, and Robert Stevens. In accordance with notice, Mr. Hndlay moved:— ' •'"That a'loan of .£IOO,OOO be asked, for the purpose, of laying an electric tramway, service in the district, provided for by Act ■ of Parliament, and according to the following conditions 1-7(1) That steam power be used for generating the plant, at powerstation (the.plant to bo.niado capable of, extensions as required), and that electrical, lighting and power bo provided for. (2) That 5J miles, or what is known as the mam route by completed first, at a cost : not exceeding JE60,000.
