Between 5 and-6 o'clock last evening a deck hand on the steamer Manapouri, named Alexander Andorson, while crossing from tho Wharf to tho ship, .lost his footing on tho rail of tho vessel, and. fell into the harbour between the wharf and tho steamer. He was rescued by some of his comrades, and carricd to his bunk. Later in tie. oven-, ing ho was found to havo seriously injured his hip, and Dr.' Henry was summoned. After attending- to his injuries on tho steamer, tho ■ doctor ordered his removal; to tho hospital.
