THE WARATAH. SIGHTED ON JULY 27, NO DISTRESS SIGNAL THEN FLYING. (by Telegraph.—l'reas Association.--Ooprrlelil.l (Rec, August 10, 0.10 a.m.) London, August 9. With regard to the Lund liner Waratah, overdue at Cape Town from Durban, Router's correspondent at Durban states that the liner Guelph sighted .the Waratah eastward of East Loudon on tho night of July 27. The Waratah was then eight hours late. The officers of the Guelph report that they attempted to hold communication with the Waratah,' but tho signals wero indistinct.. The Waratah was not • flying signals of distress. The Runic arrived at Cape Town yesterday. She took the outside course from Durban, but saw no trace of tho Waratah. LANGTON GRANGE .BREAKING UP. (Rec. August' 9, 10.55 p.m.) London, August 9. The Federal-Houlder-Shire line steamer Langton Grange, which went ashore on the coast of Pembrokeshire, is breaking up. TUG RETURNS. J j (Reo. August 9, 10.55 p.m.) Sydney,' August 9. • The tug Duckenfield —which went out to assist , the Champion to tow the Leicester Castle, but missed them—has. returned.
