A Chinaman named Ah Foy was spending a holiday with a countryman named Ah Way. Ah Foy disappeared, and the fact aroused suspicion. . . Ah Way stated that Ah Foy had gone away, but . the police were_ not satisfied, and paid a Visit Ito, his.'hut.- Thero ..they found Ah Foy deadinbed, with his head smashed in with an axe, while Ah Way was; hanging dead, suspended from.'the roof.of the hut. ; It is supposed that _ All Way murdered Ah Foy, in. order .to obtain £60..in'Ai Foy's ; possesSiqi.. Then, becoming ■ frightened l.at the institution of inquiries, the -murderer committed suicide. .
