WELLINGTON HARRIERS.
.The Wollington Harriers held a test race at Jlirauiar on Saturday, for the purpose of enabling'tho eelector (Mr; W.' H. Pollock) to : choose a-team, to represent, the Wellington centre at tiio New Zealand five-mile cross-country championship and teams race. Tho race will bo held at Tiinaru on .September 9, and, in conjunction with it, there will be an interclub shield championship for harrier club 3 onh'. It is the intontion , of the Wollington Harriers to bo represented in both events. TJio following havo becn.soleeted as the WeUington Centre tenm.:F. Wilton, P. Houson, W. B. Bennett, C Eowberry, and W. -Press. Together. with the-five ]ÜBt. mentioned, H. A. Lamb, A. Currie, and E E. Bust will also represent the club.' Tho above is the->prd«r in which tho competitors finished in tho test race, A.' P. White and J. Jtogen laid the trail, and the. officials'for the race were:—Starter and. timekeeper, Mr. W.H Pbllockrjudges, Messrs. A. Marryatt and. A. Muir. The club has received an invitation to run from the residence of tho president Qlr W. H. Bennett) on Saturday next. ■ '
