The Bill provides that'.the- appointmontshall be for five years, at a salary of £3000 a year, with an allowance of £2000 annually for the Upkeep of the official residence and travelling exponses. ''" ' The , Federal Senato, in the recommittal stages of the Old Ago Pensions Bill, adopted an amendment excluding naturalised British subjects from invalid pensions.' The House of Representatives has agreed to accept nickel as an alternative to tlw bronze ooiu in the Coinage Bill.
