;thtjot)Brb6lt . at ' johnsonville. •: The double i chimney of a house occupied by; Mr..;and llrs.i W: Skinner, of Johnsonville,,.was struck 'by: lightning 'at about 1.30 a.m. .. yesterday..- ..The. occupants were awakened by. a heavy, ,shower of hail, during whioh a vivid flash of; lightning dazzled I-Vir eyes. : iThis'. was immediately by- a loud detonation, and' a crash ,of falling masonry. ..This was afterwards ascertained to' be.the chimney, which was broken off level with, the,'roof.- -The current ■ must' .havetravelled down .the brickwork, as the mantelpiece was shattered and the grate was torn tdjpieces.
