Router's Cape Town' correspondent states that the apprehension that was felt at tho outset as.to the safety of the Waratah has been relieved by the fact that a search has revealed no'sign of wreckage. The principal lines of cargo on the Waratah when she left Sydney were:—7oo bales wool, 600 tons oats, 100 tons flour. 800 tons lead, 22< tons timber, 129 bales fur skins, 18 packages leather, 500 tons tallow, 1520 coses meats, 30 tons furniture, 150 bales cuttings, 40 bale 3 glue-pieces, 30 bales rags, 34 bales, sheepskins, 1050 boxes butter, 3000 crates rabbits, 1000 carcasses mutton, and a largo quantity of sunThe Lund (Blue Aholior) liner Waratah (Capt. Ilbery) was- built last year at Glasgow. 'Tonnage, 9330; length, 465 ft.;. beam, 59.!< ft.: depth,' 35.1 ft.
