The Maori team defeated Now South Wales by 14 points to 11. , The attendance was about 4000. Playing with a strong wind, the . New South Welshmen fairly hold jiheir in j;ho first half, though they showed considerable shyness of tackling the visitors, who made the pace hot. At half-time the score was: Maoris 9, Now South Wales 8. The Maoiis were attacking during most of the second half, and should have finished with a wider maigiu but for missing several scoring i chances. Asher, Powhiu, Kopoua, and Papakura did tho best work.
