Mitchell and Co., boot, shoo, and general indent agents,'on tho second floor, where thooutbreak was discovered. Tho motor chemical got tho flames under. The rooms occupied by Messrs. Mitchell and Co. wore damaged, tho contents sovcroly, and tho remainder of tho building was slightly damaged by smoko and licat. Messrs. Mitchell and Co.'s stock was insured for £750 in tho Royal Exchange and £1250 in the United Insurance.
