Brodcur (Canadian Minister for Marine) brings to the Defence Conference* a settled scheme for a Canadian Navji which will consist of— First-class cruisers ... ... 6 ' ■ Destroyers ... 10 ' . Torpedo boats ... .... ... 10.. Until Canada possesses- dockyards and arsenals, the orders for construction will be placed in Ensland. The articlo adds that Canada is opposed to contributing a Dreadnought or making a cohtrib\ition to the Imperial Navy, because she has suspicions that under a RadicalSocialist British Government snch contributions would, result in no real increase in' naval strength. .-.:.. ■ .:. •■'
