Pollock, Marryatt, S> Bridge. -.; ■ The purpose of the.meeting was to discuss certain proposed'alterations and. amendments to-the rules of t;ho..assoc.ia.tion, i&ss. result of • thf.'conference,' held-during; the last champion;, ship meeting at Dunedin.:,...,' -./.'. I ' ■•J new clause was inserted to .the elteot that the headquarters of the association.shall be at Wellington, but shall Iμ; transferable' »' anv time by a majority vote of- tHe centres for the- time-being constituting theassociation, such transfer to take effect- at: the end of. tho ourrent'year, provided always.that the headquarters: shall be at the 'headquarters. centre.. •.•'•■■ •'■ •-• -■' •' ; -.'-'.,'■ „ •'.■.■'•':■.•. '•' Rule 3, dealing .with the council officers, was deleted in favour of ft new rule, as under:'•'The governing body of .the. association shall be a 'council of .members .representing''.the centres, apd who ' must. be., amateurs, ■under : the amateur ; " definition, . -provided that no person under, suspension: ordisquannI cation, oV wlio is ! a- defaulter to"any amateur sport,maybe a councillor, and-tliat no«t>ersoii may representmore' than one centre.'. Bach affiliated centre shall be represented on-the'eoun-eil by two.mcmbers, who' shall be.wectedby the Centre'Committee, : at-ite annual meeting; and who. shall hold office until, the election ui their -.encucßspra. ..Should : any! eitraordinary vaoanw occur oh tho- .council, the centre affected shall .elect a'representative, tp fill such vacancy. The old -rule' provided for six points for the first'man,, three for-the second, and one for the-,third..;].ln thisiconnection it was also decided .thatr.a euggestioii be-made to centres that: one,ipoipt extra.'be cjunted to a centre for'each-representative, who reaches a .' W 'was ".further decided • that, should a tie result,'the. teams tieing, with the most firsts to win, and should' this not decide the :• championships, the banner" to be held jointly by the- teams which tied; ; It- was resolved, that no: district eh'all be pro-claimed-a centre unless it ; has .three or more affiliated clubs.-.
