WELLINGTON HARRIERS.
Twenty members met at Belle Vue Gardens on, Saturday last to take, part in the weekly, run of tho Wellington Harriers. The trail was laid.by'W.B. Bennett and J.E.; Eflgan. The former, being /an old-timer, gave the pack' plenty of.'scope for'their energies.'; The trail was of: a 'soniiwhat serpentine nature and did not'stop at hedge, swamp/ or,creek; -Only one; hill was,crossed, -and it was quite enough after tho heavy going on the flat. The run-in proved too much for the olub sprinters/Pollock ' and'• Busst. 'The former secured-third placo, but-tho latter was right'out. of it. F. Wilton was first home, and W. Press second. Last Wednesday evening's run was fairly well attended,: and somo good training work re- . At the club's annual dance on Friday next. Messrs. W. H. Pollock and S. .'Robinson,, two pioneers of. tho club, will bo presented with life membership medals,-and tho Palmer Cup will be handed ov,er to this year's ivinner.
