July 12, 0.35 a.m.) 1 London, July 11; Tlie Indian student Dhingra has been committed for trial on the' charges of murdering Sir Wm. Wyllie and Dr\ Lalcaca at the Imperial Institute. He objected ■to the word "murder," andclaimed justification of his orimo' op the ground of patriotism. He made a. rambling and vehement attack on British rule in India as causing oppression and atrocities. His/remarks implied a claim that India is for the Indians. He expressed a wish that sentence of death would be passed; then his. compatriots' vengeance would bo all the keener. Dhingra concluded by appealing to .synv* pathisers in America and Gonnany. THE TOOL OF CONSPIRATORB. ASSASSIN'S FAMILY. Calcutta, July 9. The brothers of Dhingra, the Indian student fl'liQ murdered Sir William Wyllie and Dr. Lalcaca at the Imperial Institute in London, have visited the Viceroy at Simla, and expressed the family's shame and horror at the crime. They expressed their conviction that Dhingra was the tool of conspirators.
