Sir,—l see in your issue of .Wednesday mormng an account, of, tho rough passago of the steamor Koromiko to Auckland. No.-l lifeboat was synashed to pieces. What a rovelation of prcsontrday conditions of tho lifeboats.: If tho-reports you gavo somo short time back of-Mr/i Fisher's lifeboat aro correct, why in tho namo of humanity, are they hanging on to- these ,old tubs ~ that .- get smashed to piecedlvith :water only? Tho effect on the newt.lifeboat would havo been liko wator on a duck's back. Thinking you for.'tho space-aocorded in the interest of ■ > GET THEM QUICK. July 7.'
