MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
■-There was T a large audience at the Missions ,to. beamcn i.nstitute ;last • evening, * when the weekly ' ambulance' meeting was. . hold. Mr. James Moore,' the missioner, gave several useful'hints relating to. first-aid and health mattars.;. He 'dealt chiefly with burning accidents, giving demonstrations showing how to rescuo unconscious persons from a burning. building, and' restoring patients overcome with gas fumes. Competitions in connection' with the treatment'of various limb accidents'and other ambulance' '.'wort were won by; sailors from ships in port. A bright musical programme was provided by Miss Blanchard, the following contributing , items:—Misses ' Blanchard, Upham, Jensen, and Mac Lean, and Mr. Gardiner. The performers'were accorded a hearty volo of thanks.
