MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
I The Missions to Seamen Institute was crowded I on Wednesday ovoning, when an enjoyable concert was provided by Captain and Mrs. Johnson. The musical arrangenionts were in the hands o£ , Miss Mueller, the following contributing iteniG:—Songs by Madame Muo|lcr, Mrs. Anderson, Miss«s Castle, Rogers, Baker, andV. Mueller, and Messrs. Ffrost and Riddehough, and a trio by /Madame Mueller, Miss Castle, and Mr. Ffrost. The Wellington- Meroia Band, of Children, under tho direction of Miss Mueller, contributed several delightful songs. Every, item was encored. Levcstain, Tomlinson,' and Williams acted as acoompauists. ■ Several popular choruses wore sung by tho audience,; and a conundrum competition was won by sailors from ships in port. The missdorier, Mr.- James Moore, presided, and delivered an earnest temperance address." Seven men subsequently took tho pledge of total abstinence. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded tho ihost arid hostess and tho porformers.
