MOTOR BOATS.

■ Tho following general harbour regulation for motor boats arc gazetted this week:— < 1. Every motor boat, steam launch, sailingcuttor, yacht, oi",6nuill sailing or rowing boat when in tho fairway of any 'Harbour shall on the approach of ft larger vessel haul to that 6i(Io of tlio fairway ukich is in tho starboard side o£ such first-montioned vereol; and also when within 500 yards of auy wharf to or from which any ve&cl of over 500 tons register is proceeding, or to or from which sucli vessel is boing toned, shall give way and keep clear of f>iich vcteol. 2. Every vessel under 150 ft. iji • length and ■' propelled by steam or motor which procoede i l'tom any hafhour,to,beyond tho limits lthoroof for tho purpose of being used in connection with fishing shall bo fully equipped wtth sails, ,and in case of vessels under 50ft. in length'shall bo piovided with sweeps or oars as a provision against tho failuro, of the mechanical power.
