Mr. Freeman R. Jackson's reports as follows:—On June/23 at Wanganui 6alo we had a good yarding, viz., 590 mixed cattle, 2650 sheep, and 50 pigs. The • attendance was large, and bidding spirited throughout. All the sheep yarded (with the exception of a small pen of wethers) were sold under the hammer at satisfactory prices. ' Wo disposed »of all the cattle, with the exception of a couple of pens at full market values. A fair entry of pigs sold, readily. On June 25, at Wayerley, we yarded 250 head of cattle and 1400 sheep. Tho attendance was . good. Although ■ several pens, of cattle were' passed at the sale,-we disposed of the bulk of the yarding after.wards at good values.. Spirited competition for sheep, every line being sold at the auc-tion-at prices in advance pf late, sales. At ahorse sale on Saturday somewhat, over 120 horses came forward-. Good young hacks and young draughts sold better than of late, and wo disposed of a fair proportion of the entry before the day closed.
