J. Pollock, R. Bust being a good second, and H. A. Lamb third Nctt Satin day Jho third race will bo held for tho Palmer Cup, at Miramar, over a distance of threo miles. Over twenty entries havo beon received, and, given favourablo weather conditions a very interesting Taoo Bhould result. Mr. P. Drment, the present holder of the cup, is awny from town, but it is hoped that ho mil bo present to defend his title noxt Saturdny Onmg to the unfnvourablo weather, the mid-weekly run was not bold last Wednesday.
