INTER-CLUB DEBATE.
At the Y M C A Rooms last evening a dobato took plnco botweon the Karori Literary and Debating Society and tho YM C A Club Mr. R 'Brown was in the chair Karori wore represented by Messrs G S ' Smytho, L P Davics, and H S. Hart, whilo I Messrs W E Dickenson,,W Gilbert, and ' A. E Budd represented the Y.iICA. Tho'l subject of debato was, "That the efficiency of' tho Now Zealand worker has suffered through I recent labour legislation." Tho Karori So-ciety-affirmed, and brought forward various arguments, to which tho Y M C A. representatives replied. Mr Glanvillo ILcks acted as judge, and awarded a win to tho Karon Society with a small majority. Mr H S Hart made the best speech, Mr Dickenson coming second A hearty \oto of thanks was passed to the judge and chairman.
