A meeting: of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association, held last evening in the, Y.M.&A. Eooms, was preaded over by' Mr. H. N. Holmes. On behalf of players who would represent Taranaki' against Wellington at Ifowtown Park on July 10, the Taranaki Association looked . upon the arrangem<int 'to take up a collection at the gates as most unsatisfactory. Players connected with the association had had experienoo of bad "gates," and had had to put their hands into their pockets in.consequonce. It was not definitely known whether the players would make the journey when' the proposed arrangements were made , known.
