KARORI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Tho fortnightly mooting or , the Kerorl . ' Borough Council was held lust night, when theio uoro present: Tho (Mr. C. I. Dasont), Councillors Cathie, Raino, Spiers, Walmsley, Wollrag, Wcddo, Hildroth, Burn, and Stnndon. A letter uas received from the Town cfork of tho Wellington City Council stating that, m regard to tlic agreement hetween tho Ga» Company and tho Kiirori Borough Council i elating to tho payment by tho company for tl»o right to carry mams into tlio Karori Borough, tho City Council was advised thab part of tho sum of £20 due on January 31 last should bo paid to them. Tho part of tho then Karon Borough affected by the' agreement was amalgamated with the City of Wellington on April 2) 1908, and the Wellington City Council wcro entitled to fivo-Bixths of the £20. Tho borough was entitled only to payment for two months.—Tho town clerk was instructed to write to tho City Council adusing that no cheque had boon received "' from.the' Gas Company. It w.3 resolved, on the recommendation of tho Works Committee, to draw tho attention of tho Inspector of Folico to nets of \nndahsm which are of frequent occurrence in the borough, and to request him to give btich instructions as will tend to stop further dostiuction of property. It was explained, that the acts referred to were committed by bojs flith pea rifles. They amused them, selves bj shooting at telegraph insulation cups and vindons.
