A'meeting, of ':the : Northland- Municipal Electors' Association and other ratepayers of the district was .held' last night, w-heri Mr. John Aston presided over an attendance, of about-twenty. The chairman, in stating why tho meeting had been callod;~said that some Northland ratepayers had received notices from the Karori Borough Council solicitors/ threatening legal proceedings if' the .rates wore, not paid forthwith. He explained that they did not wish to: avoid, paying thorates, but desired to, pay-them to the proper authority-.
