Soon after it was discovered that thfl tar jute, otc., round the cables in the : ceiling- of the telephone room' ira on fire, the. flames rapidly running along tho wires. : Tho lire was practieallv subdued bv the •telephone officials before tho arrival o'f the brigade.'
