HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.
The fortnigjhtly mating of tho Wellington Hospital' Trustees; was. held yesterday morning, • the Hon. C: jf.' Lnke'presiding. There were also present Messrs. J. Danks; W. H. Hales, G. Nash,. G. London, H. Smith, R. C. Kirk, and J. Rod. The statement of reoeipts and expenditure for the fortnight showed a balance of £888 2s. 6d. The receipts from in-patients amounted to only £61 14s.,'aad irom ' outpatients to £9 2s. The following, recommendations • si -'of i "' l the! House Comm&tee w6re 'agrefeS' to: —(1) That consent bo given to a deed of mortgage of a lease granted by the/.Wellington Hospital •Oontributors to a lessee. 'Messrs. Kirk and London were appointed to execute the document. (2) That the trustees approve of a 6eries of three lectures being given by one of the public health officers on public health. In reply to the Medical Superintendent's re-quest,-the Inspector-General of Hospitals had written that he would only be. too pleased to make, such an arrangement.- (3) That the .trustees approve the arrangements made by the Medical .Superintendent for the disposal of surplus sterilised..,water.*' : (4) That the action., of; the . committee - in- accepting ■ the tender of Mr. James ■ Lamb for the (taction of the brick workshop for £621 be approved. : It was reported that during the fortnight ended Jimo 14 80 males and 76 females wero in the General Hospital—a total of 161, as against 216 for tho corresponding period last year. In the Victoria .Hospital there were 20 males and 17 females, and in the Seddon Hospital there wore 14-males and 6 females. The grand total , was 220,' as against 276 for the corresponding period last year.
