- LIVE STOCK SALES. •Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock .sale,: held, on .Wednesday, as follows:—We offered an average yarding in both sheep and cattle. The qualityof the: sheep yarded, for the most part, was only : medium, ; and consequently bidding wa's 1 not very brisk. We, howeTer, quitted the bulk of the yarding before the end of the day. ' la, cattle wo offered a good yarding of useful sorts, and prices , were . on a par witli late sales. We qrioto:—Sheep: fat ewes, 10s. 3d.-to 12s. Bd. for an extra prime line of maiden'ewes; forward empty ewes, 7s. lid. to Bs.; 2-tooth wethers, 10s. 7d. to lis.' 6d. s 4-tooth wethers, good, 12s. 9d.; ewes in lamb (medium), 9s. lOd. to lis. '. (BT TEIBGBAPH—PBESS ASSOCIATION.) ! 'S Christchurch, June 9. At Addington live stock market-to-day there was a fairly large entry of stock and a good attendance. Pat cattle showed a further rise. Store sheep sold well. Fat lambs were a little firmer, and; fat.sheep were weaker. In consequence of the .heavy entry, pigs of all classes showed -an' easier tendency. • The yarding of store sheep was about up to lost week's in numbers, and was mainly- composed of hoggets and ewes, with "a few lines of ; wethers. There was. - a very good demand in consequence of, the continued iiae weather,\ and all descriptions sold at the .late: level of prices. Good' half bred''hoggets, mixed! sexes, 6old up to' 13s.;'average lines of mixed 6exes, . 9s. to 105.'6 d.; forward wether hoggets,_lo lis.; good sound-mouth merino.ewes in.lamb; 9s. 6d.; sound-mouth crossbred owes, in good condition, 12s. to 12s. 6d.; aged ewes, 10s.- to lis.; forward wethers, to'l2s.- 6d.; others, .10s. to lis. !.. There_was again a large entry, of fat .lambs, and the'quality as a whole was. good. Export buyers were operating freely, though the market was not quite so firm, especially towards' the close of the sale. -Prices, however, showed little change from last week. The general range for prime freezers was 12s. :to"13s;-8d.; heavier weights, Hs. to 15s. Id.;, and light sorts, 10s. to Us. 6d. ■ There, was -a-vvery 1 heavy yarding .of - fat sheep, some l of' the- store' pens having to be utilised. 'There was not very keen competition for wethers' for export,' and prices showed aneasier tendency. Prime- fat ewes opened •at about last week's rates, but owing to tho heavy supply there was a decline: liter on, and all classes showed a drop in prices. Prime wethers made lis: to 16s. Gd.; extra, to 175.; lighter, lis. Id. to 13s. lOd.; primo'ewes, lis Gd. to 13s. id.; medium, 9s. 6a. .to Us.; aged,-: 7s.'. 6d. to 9s. ;.merino wethers, 9s. Gd.
