Race). Scotia (J. J. Roughan). Douglas (J. Geddes). Shades (J. Barclay). Duke of Edinburgh (D. M'Konaie). ■ Groat Northern (J. Toomey). Queen's (J,. Crane). Tho following six applications aro under consideration.:—Central (Haydon), Gladstone (Collins), Wain's (Binstead), Prince of Wales(Gray), Royal Albert (M'Gavin), Rainbow (Gleoson). Thomson, S.M., W. Beck S W.\Luxford, D. Matheson, C. Dunk, and H Palmers. Transfers were granted as follow: Masonic Hotel to J. Pawson; Post Office Hotel to M. Dumbloton; Family Hotel to C. W. Merrylces. , All applications for renewals were' granted, subject, to compliance, with somo minor suggestions in tho police report. Sub-Inspector O'Donovan said, in regard to the conduct of tho hotels, that there had been no broaches of the law by tho licensees for a long tune past. There had been'no increase in drunkenness, tho figures for tho last three years showing • a slight decrease. They we re as follow:—1906, 333 cases; 1907, 332 cases, 1908, 308 cases.
